The proposal of the artist Alan Fontes is a rescue to the references that he traced throughout his trajectory, giving continuity to previous works. Alan Fontes contextualizes VOLTA NY’s design from several series cut-outs, which are exposed in a thought-provoking environment for the viewer. With his painting reaching the three-dimensional space, it enables the public to walk among bottles, fans, picture frames and deconstructed furniture. Mixed to the pieces, the paintings are present. Upon reaching the center of the site, a lighted crystal chandelier invites the public to continue the visitation.
The project features landscapes, shattered architecture and blurry portraits. As reflected in his creations, the artist paints disasters approaching the spaces of individuality, from the idea of the house as a body that transforms and represents architecture as a portrait mode.
