Paula Costa

As of November, Emmathomas Gallery opens the mezzanine’s exhibition space to pop-ups from guest artists. Born in Rio, Paula Costa launches the Emma POP project; its main objective is to provide an environment of artistic experimentation for prominent names of the contemporary scene, selected by the curator Ana Carolina Ralston. The living and ever-changing art is the leitmotif of Ephemera, a solo project that opens to the public at 7pm on November 22nd on the gallery’s mezzanine.

Campos Sintéticos

Isabelle Borges

A two-dimensional production that extrapolates the screens and invades the walls. This is the work of Isabelle Borges, a Berlin-based Soteropolitan artist who, from September 4th, presents the exhibition Campos Sintéticos, her first solo exhibition at Kogan Amaro Gallery. With the curatorship by Ricardo Resende, the show turns to the investigation of space as a three-dimensional place and brings together 17 unpublished works.

Vozes Mundanas

Mundado

A wall that separates the real world from a fictitious one. On the one hand, the gray paint in allusion to voices and colors in the streets of São Paulo. On the other, screens, sculptures, objects and installations of vivid and pulsating colors, noises that refer to a series of current problems: from the impacts caused by the water crisis to the issue of refugees in various parts of the globe. This is the tone of Vozes Mundanas, an unpublished exhibition by the artist Mundano curated by Ricardo Resende, which will be presented between July 24th and August 25th at Emmathomas Gallery.

Between May 30th and July 14th, Emmathomas Gallery opens its doors to the first individual exhibition of 2018: Duas SpherogrÁfias, by Gilberto Salvador, curated by Ricardo Resende. The exhibition brings together 17 works made using techniques that reflect the poetic thinking of the artist, recognized by the diversity of supports and dimensions in two-dimensional and three-dimensional projects, which offer the public multiple interpretations.
