At Kogan Amaro’s viewroom, Scottish artist Daniel Mullen presents two of his most recent series, Pulse and Synesthesia. Through the former, the artist reflects upon form repetition, linking it to the iconic black square by Russian artist Kazimir Malevich. In Synesthesia, Mullen works on the lines of the horizon as a way to represent his intense research on color.
Born in Glasgow, in 1985, the artist currently lives and works in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He graduated in Fine Arts, in 2011, at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and, since then, has been showing his work internationally, in cities such as London, New York, Vancouver, Berlin and São Paulo.
